POS depends on more than power
Electronic recording systems operate within a framework of KassenSichV, TSE and data export. Networks, internet, printers, payment terminals and back office add technical dependencies.
An assessment should make these dependencies visible before products or vendors change.
Separate POS and guest networks
POS terminals, TSE components and administration devices should not share a network with guests or openly accessible devices. Segmentation limits unwanted paths and simplifies support.
Only required destinations and services are allowed, based on documented vendor requirements.
Assess internet and cloud dependency
Cloud TSE, hosted back-office services and online payments make internet availability operationally important. Failure procedures should define what continues locally and how data synchronises later.
A second connection may be useful where impact is high, but it does not replace a documented process.
Export, backup and responsibility
DSFinV-K and other export requirements need coordination with the POS vendor and tax advisers. Technically, data location, export permissions and access protection must be clear.
Configurations, documentation and operating data need suitable backup and retention paths.

JITIS designs networks, internet, endpoints and technical operations. Tax and legal advice remain outside the service scope.
